Nearly all of our customers fly to Juneau, the capital of Alaska. From there you can reach Haines with plane or ferry.

Most visitors reach Haines with plane. Wings of Alaska offers daily flights from Juneau to Haines. The 40 minutes flight costs about 100 USD. Flights are canceled in case of bad weather.

For weather autonomous transportation you should use the Ferry. After 4 hours and a spectacular ride you will reach Haines. It costs about 40 USD.

You can also use the country way coming from Canada. You leave the Alaska Highway in Haines Junction and drive South. You will reach Haines after a 3 hour drive.

Staying overnight in Juneau:

If your travel plans demand an overnight stay in Juneau, we suggest the Travelodge or the Alaskan Hotel. The Travellodge is close to the airport and offers a shuttleservice to and from the airport. The Alaskan Hotel is located in downtown Juneau. There is no shuttle service and it can get quite loud sometimes, but it is situated in the heart of Juneau and has a popular (and famous) in-house bar.
