I still stick by my initial opinion. I don't know this dealer you're talking to, but it's not unheard of for them to saying anything to get the car sold. Just saying ;) The work may look top notch straight out the shop, but are they realistically going to do anything in a couple of years (without a lot of hassling)? Maybe, maybe not.

Personally I'd go find another car, but that's just me  :happy2:

its a reflex silver 3 door dsg with 68000 miles on it full leather paring sensors. i am in limavady.

My previous Golf GTi had rust on the rear sill which I noticed when viewing the car. I purchased the car, took it to VW and got them to repair it under warranty. It took them a little while to approve the work and they had the car about a week.

I did think twice whether to buy the car or not, but in hindsight it was a decent example, with lower owners and low mileage.

the rust will mmore than likely come back if they repair it they have a sponge inside wing which absorbs moisture rusts inside out try and get the to replace wing

Where is this sponge located please?
Want to remove them on mine while its still rust free!


sorry for late reply yes its above the black inner arch liner,

Mine is a 57 plate so will it still have the daft sponges being a later car?

That's well overpriced. I paid that over year ago from a vw dealer and that had lower mileage. And it wasn't rusty!
