A review of @ECOsystmSF from one of our first members - Vincent Chang

Walking into ECO-SYSTM is like stepping into a rainforest of awesomeness. It has everything to keep a humanoid like me happy, creative and caffeinated like a wide-eyed lemur.

I’ve been to a lot of coworking spots. Some are just like regular corporate offices (vibe = uncreative). Others are packed to the gills with hardcore hipster go-getters (vibe = competitive). And some just don’t have enough place to sit and spread out. (My pack tends to explode the moment I sit down with laptops, rare Japanese pens, chargers, phones, my SX-70, latte…hidden chocolate and other unmentionables.)

ECOSYSTM has da vibe! Massive space (to explode in), hip art (courtesy of Mirus Gallery upstairs), turntables (courtesy of Temple downstairs), a grand piano and pool table (classy!), bleachers, high ceilings. Organic snackie-dos (omfg…I found a new flavor of TCHO I didn’t know existed). And TERRARIUMS (minus the overly tight white jeans and vintage blankets, you know what I’m talking about).

And the people here are rad. Down to earth, quiet, relaxed—yet if you say hi to anyone, you’re in for a treat. Everyone here is a rockstar doing their thing, yet keeping it low key. (General Assembly is right next door, too.)

This is by far the best spot in town if you need a big open space to create, dream, get ish done, concentrate, collaborate. Or explode…with metaphoric creativity and literal organic snackie-dos you could only dream of.

My only hesitation in writing this is that I don’t want this place to become flooded with other monkeys and lemurs. However, I hear rumors of a big new co-working cafe downstairs and new suites upstairs, so there’s plenty of room to grow/explode.
