Axia’s remarkable talent was recognized when she was very young, as a winner of numerous awards at international competitions. Axia Marinescu made a precocious début at the age of 11, with the Romanian National Radio Orchestra in Bucharest, being described by the critics as “an incredible young pianist sharing with Mozart the spirit of genius”.
2021-2022 season highlights include a series of recitals across Europe and Asia. Her new CD Les femmes dansent, recorded in the beautiful Salle Gaveau in Paris and dedicated to French dance music, was released in collaboration with Klarthe and the support of Yamaha. The album reached the top 10 classical release ranking in 2022 and received unanimous critical acclaim.
