About Us

We are Arroyo Grande High School!  We are so proud to call the Central Coast of California home. We educate almost 2000 students with 175 faculty members that are excited about student learning. A high level of success is maintained at our school. We excel in academics, athletics, and extra-curricular programs. Many of our departments garner state and national recognition through competitive team successes and innovative program design. Students in Band, Mock Trial, Colorguard, Drama, Animation, Robotics, Skills USA, and Agriculture consistently receive local and state recognition.

Work Permits Information

Attention all students that plan on working. Please submit a completed work permit request form to Mr. Coville, or email him at [email protected]. Anybody that needs their current permit extended can stop by Room 510, or email Mr. Coville as well. Once school is out, you can only reach Mr. Coville by email so please get your work permits done before the end of school.

Our Kids First

Governed by a seven member Board of Education, Lucia Mar proudly educates more than 10,000 students who attend Lucia Mar’s eleven elementary schools, three middle schools, three comprehensive high schools, one continuation high school, one independent student study school, and one adult education program. Ongoing partnerships with community colleges, state universities, and local businesses also provide an important role in educational improvement.
