Johnny Depp as Torrhen Stark? Just on April 1st

Yesterday we posted, that Johnny Depp will play Torrhen Stark in an upcoming Game of Thrones prequel. Is this true? No, unfortunately not. It was just an April Fools Joke. So can we say he won’t? Also no 😉

Do you all remember our April fools Joke from the year 2008? You can find it here. We claimed, that Johnny is set to play Gellert Grindelwald in the upcoming Harry Potter movie. Of course we told the truth the next day, but 9 sites had already copied our news and you can still find the rumours in the internet. The funny thing is, that just 8 years later he really played Grindelwald in Fantastic Beasts. So there is a slight chance this will happen once again, isn’t it?

Johnny Depp as Torrhen Stark in new Game of Thrones Series

So happy to announce that Johnny Depp will play Torrhen Stark in the new Game of Thrones Series about Aegon Targaryen the conquerer. Torrhen Stark, known as the King Who Knelt, was a head of House Stark who reigned as King in the North until Aegon I Targaryen invaded Westeros with his dragons. He was named Lord of Winterfell and Warden of the North after submitting to Aegon during the Conquest.

They already did some first shootings and it seems they even gave him one of those direwolves.

Johnny Depp painting sold for £13,000.

The Johnny Depp painting offered at Kerry Taylor Auctions for Bright Foundation UK sold for £13,000 today.
Before this, the costumes from Cosprop archives had been sold live in London on 5 March 2024, Johnny’s Ichabod Crane costumes being one of the highest sold costumes with £24,000, while the Earl of Rochester costume went away for  £2,200 and J.M Barrie  was auctioned of for £5,500.
All proceeds will be donated to The Bright Foundation, an Arts education charity.
