Shohid Noor Hossain (Activist) in this Photo, He caught the imagination of the nation with the slogans “Shoirachar Nipat Jaak" written in white on his bare chest In Bangla, At the time he was shot, his body carried several slogans in white paint. He wore the slogan “Down with autocracy” (Shoirachar Nipat Jaak) on his chest, and his death added momentum to the movement for democracy for the country, which eventually turned into a mass uprising that led to the fall of military ruler H. M. Ershad on December 6, 1990.

Noor Hossain Day is a National Day of Bangladesh and observed in a befitting manner in remembrance of the young campaigner for democracy who sacrificed his life in Dhaka on November 10, 1987 when he was in demonstrations against the autocracy of Hussain Mohammad Ershad. Zero Point was later renamed Noor Hossain Square and the anniversary of his death is officially commemorated each year as Shohid Noor Hossain Day (Debosh).

Different political parties and socio-cultural organisations paid tributes to Noor Hossain for his supreme sacrifice every year on this date.
